Ex-Texan Brandon Brooks says he almost retired after ‘miserable’ time playing for Bill O’Brien

Former Texans guard Brandon Brooks said Wednesday in Philadelphia that he was so unhappy playing for Bill O’Brien in 2014-15 that he thought about retiring.Brooks, a third-round pick in 2012 who played his first two seasons under Gary Kubiak, signed with Philadelphia in 2016 and helped the Eagles win Super Bowl LII over New England.After the Eagles’ OTAs, the subject was New England and the “Patriot Way” that’s drawn some recent criticism for coach Bill Belichick taking the fun out of football, according to some former Patriots.”It’s crazy that people haven’t known this,” Brooks said about the Patriots via Bleeding Green Nation. “It’s been this way for like a decade . . .
