Illinois’ Ayo Dosunmu declares for NBA draft

Illinois junior point guard Ayo Dosunmu announced Tuesday on ESPN’s “The Jump” that he is declaring for 2021 NBA Draft and hiring an agent.Dosunmu, 21, was a consensus All-American and the recipient of the 2021 Bob Cousy Award, which is presented to the nation’s top point guard. The prospect of being selected in the 2021 NBA Draft on July 29 serves as a motivating factor for Dosunmu, who entered last year’s draft without an agent before announcing he would return.”It’s going to mean the world to me,” Dosunmu said on ‘The Jump’ on Tuesday. “We put so much work in. I’m excited to tell you guys, tell the world, that I’m entering my name in the draft. … To know that July 29 that my dream will come true, it fuels me each and every day to get better and keep working.”
